I blink at the ceiling and think, Really? Now?

If you’ve ever been there — staring into the dark while your mind throws a surprise party — you know exactly what I mean.
This is The 3 A.M. Mind: my new weekly experiment to understand why I keep waking up in the middle of the night and what, if anything, I can do about it.

☕ What This Series Is (and Isn’t)

This isn’t a doctor’s guide. I’m not prescribing, diagnosing, or promising a fix. I’m simply testing real-life solutions, one week at a time — a mix of small, doable things we can try between day jobs and laundry loads.

Each week, I’ll experiment with something new:

  • Food habits (what I eat, when I eat, and how it affects sleep)

  • Sleep supplements (magnesium glycinate, glycine, adaptogen)

  • Mind rituals (evening journaling, no-phone rule after 9, breathing tricks)

  • Lifestyle tweaks (coffee timing, light exposure, protein dinner experiments)

  • Mental reframes (what if my 3 A.M. thoughts aren’t the enemy, but the signal?)

I’ll share what happened — the wins, the fails, the ridiculous middle-of-the-night realizations.
